Not shaving legs, armpits, etc.

I have to admit...I'm thinking about not shaving my legs and other areas for awhile, maybe a few years. I think I'd just like to experience the totality of my being, instead of always trying to alter my appearence. It would be an experiment in unraveling social conditioning. After all, I just don't see the necessity of taking off hair that's there. Maybe someone could describe the value of shaving to me. I think it's just to highlight the difference between male and female, to propagate a more distinct rift between the sexes. In which case, for me, it feels natural to let myself be fuzzy right now.
Anyway...I have a razor ready in case I decide there is too much hair to bear. I guess I just don't care.

Yes, I'm in the clear. I haven't had sex in...MONTHS. I don't see it in my near future either, if truth be told.
Hey, at least I can still be sexy with myself.

a poet I see.
Unless you plan on having sex with some one that minds a lot of hair, I wouldn't worry about it.
It really bugs me how many of my friends that are girls value shaving their legs, and other areas. I don't find it that valuable unless you plan on having sex. It makes it softer and more intimate.
There really IS no other function except for aesthetics. As much of our culture as human beings is based around.
So I see nothing wrong with it, and I think it is a good idea.
It'll teach you to be in touch with your more natural side. From reading previous posts by you, it doesn't surprise me you would want to do something like this.:)

Everything in human life is based around sex more or less. Thats my official conclusion.

That's how my cousin is. She's settled down and is raising two kids with her boyfriend (They're his from a previous relationship, but she's been with him raising them the past 5 years or so.) Obviously it doesn't bother me because she's my cousin and our only interaction is getting high together or hanging out at family get togethers, and obviously it doesn't bother her boyfriend because they've been together for-fucking-ever now.
But personally I'd want the chick I'm banging clean shaven because it feels nice when a girl is all smooth and hairless. To each their own though, I won't judge a girl because she won't shave.*

Because body hair is masculine, not feminine. Women already have less of it of course.

I don't see what the big deal is . . . if a chick is clean I don't care if she doesn't shave. Keep the nethers trimmed though, choking on curlies sucks. And by trimmed I don't realy mean clean shaven, just short. My gf uses my beard trimmer to keep things just long enough to be soft and not bristly. I don't mind sharing the trimmer for this purpose

But why does having smooth and hairless underarms, legs and pussy region = equal sexy?
Please guys...I'm honestly curious.
I think it's because in our society hair on anyplace other then your head is seen as masculine because hair is a dominant trait in men, and to see too much hair on a woman triggers a sense of homophobia in men. So society stresses that hairless women are sexy, because that's a safe way of keeping the 'sameness' of male and female at a distance.
Oh, HAIR.
Anyway, if anyone has a better explanation for why hairless bodies are preferred with women, let me know. I'd certainly like to hear it.

My girlfriend just started shaving a few months ago for me (without my request) and she doesn't keep up with the growth... even when she does I don't prefer it.
She still doesn't shave the legs, but she doesn't need to. No hair there.
Really, she never had much hair anywhere anyway, but I preferred the little she had.

Of course I appreciate your opinion and thank you for weighing in. But I happen to suspect that your opinion is a popular one among people (even women) so I'm just poking the boundary a little and seeing what happens.

I think hairless is better because it just indulges my perception of a woman. When they're fresh out of a shower, skin glowing and smooth, I melt. If there's hair it's just kind of like, uh......
Plus hair tends to lock in smell. Mostly the unpleasant ones. I'd MUCH rather bury my face in an un-bearded clam.

I dont care so much about nether regions and legs (to some extent) but underarms really grosses me out. It looks manly. Call it a homophobic trigger if ya want but i don't want to be gettin it on with sasquatch.
