When do you think the next prophet type person will come along?
BTW you know whats weird? If there isn't anything else "out there" and we die off, then well thats it and the planets just stall for eternity.
Come on man.
Seriously people don't seem to give the universe any credit in terms of its size and age. People still believe that "we" are the most it has to show. I think many still have this view of us being the centre of the universe.
Even if the universe doesn't physicaly revolve around us, we have this idea that the centre of consciousness lies on this planet.
Ya know, I think it's funny how we see the world. How a majority of people view the universe from a "Human" perspective, without taking account that with all that seems like 'great technological innovations' is just as great in limitations to see the "big picture" and the "smaller pictures".
We can answer, in our subjective way, a situation at work or an essay question, but only with the knowledge/tools we have at our disposal. Through reason and basis of knowledge we can compare and contrast to what a majority of ppl may agree on.
We try and seek an answer to something so vast with perhaps infinite possibilities with the least amount of information, when compared to things on Earth, and we're to speculate out the ass based on information we know or give up and say "God".
There's exceptions but I feel people who know less will give up and declare God, while those who're familiar with the action and reaction of things will push on to find more.
I guess one could say, well what put everything in motion? Well that's a question with infinite answers whether your sources are studying sciences, the bible, self-reflection/instrospective thoughts, meditation, psychidelic influences, or whatever.
There's sooooooooooo many factors. Before Earth ever made it to the point of supporting life, there were infinite possible reactions going on in "space" and infinite possibilities for life. We just happen to be part of one of the possibilities of life, along with bacteria, plants, fungi, and so on.
One of the scientists that're credited with the double Helix, I think it was Watson, believed in Aliens. And that all the organisms, or basic ones, were 'planted' here. That doesn't sound any more extreme than vengeful, supernatural Entity, who rewards you in an afterlife, that created everything here. Then again, evolution is just as convincing.
so what gives and why care about an answer that will answer nothing. What's the need in making a point?!
but it's fun to talk about the endless questions and answers

I love Jesus. He never left. And he was before he was "born" on this planet....and continues to be...as all the angels are. I think he might be last avatar sent to us though...I do not know that there will be another one...I mean...would people believe it? Or just put him on the cross again.

Huh? Which group do you consider 'us'? No one here was alive two thousand years ago.
