 High Places- High Places
"The duo weaves a few wispy synths and samples around the beats and vocals, but they also leave a whole lot of space, and together it adds up to dub-kissed indie pop with a surprising rhythmic verve."
psychedelic electronic tribal pop one of the best albums of 2008 IMO

 Beirut- El Gulag Orkestrar
Eastern European music with an indie-pop twist. Zack Condon has a passionate melodic voice that ties accordians, percussion, horns, and ukelele, seemingly effortlessly. Its often said to be NMH-esque... but it stands very very strongly on its own.

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy- I See A Darkness
An amazing look into Will Oldham's mind. Pitchfork gave it a perfect 10 and Johnny Cash covered a song off it. 'nuff said, just grab it and listen to every word this man says.

Foot Ox- It's Like Our Little Machine
Stripped down drums, acoustic/classical guitar strumming away, high pitched singing, and more noise making toys than you can imagine. Light hearted, yet dark. Makes me feel like what every kid goes through when the realities of life first start hitting you in the face.

Mediafire's better, anyhow.
-------------------- Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No, says the man in Washington; it belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican; it belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow; it belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture. - Andrew Ryan

Naw, you've got time. I'm gathering the names of the complaining labels so we can stop buying their CDs.

Yep, it's surprising how often the Shroomery comes up on top in google searches.

I know right? I've often tried searching for more info about a post subject and got the post as the top result.
