Sharks_Keep_Moving_-_Pause_and_Clause_2001

Defunct group out of Seattle, WA. Singer of Minus the Bear plays with these guys; IMO this group is as good if not better than the older Minus the Bear stuff. (MTB is sickly terrible now) Three songs of nice laid back jams. The other guitarist went on to The Blood Brothers, but this stuff is just so much different then that, much more jazzy, and not loud and obnoxious. A black drummer and bassist hold it down as good as we know black men can.

If you want driving rock, look somewhere else. This is jazz influenced 'rock'.

soulseek is great but sometimes they just dont have what you're looking for, which sucks.

blogsearch.google.com

That works great too, maybe not so well for new stuff, but it's a goodie for oldies.

I hardly ever come up dry on soulseek, if I do I put it in the wishlist and I always get it in a few days.

I  soulseek, but haven't been able to use it since i've been sharing a connection via a wireless router. Tried port-forwarding, which doesn't seem to be the problem. I might have done something wrong or overlooked a step, but im pretty sure my IP is slightly different then my room-mates. It makes me sad.

Quote:

Archive was formed by Londoners Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths in 1994 and began as an electronica project. At the beginning, they mixed Bristol-style, Massive Attack, Portishead with rap. The first album of the band, Londinium released in 1996 (with Roya Arab and Rosko John as guest vocalists). The second album, Take my Head, (which the band hates) was released in 1999 (with a new guest vocalist Suzanne Wooder), it is much more melodic than Londinium. The first song of the album, You Make Me Feel, illustrates this change in the Archive’s music. After being dropped by their label and more changes in the lineup, the band seemed to hit its stride on the third album You All Look The Same To Me (2002), featuring singer Craig Walker (formerly of Power of Dreams), which took a decided turn toward more progressive music (with some Progressive Rock influences, notably Pink Floyd whose indelible influence is audible on tracks such as ‘Finding it so Hard’ and ‘Again’), while still maintaining electronic elements. The band saw growing popularity and critical acclaim, especially in France, Greece, Germany and Poland. After recording two more artistically -but not too commercially- successful albums, Michel Vaillant (2003) and Noise (2004), Walker left the band for reasons the band and he will not talk about. The project continued on as a Collective, with new vocalists, Pollard Berrier and Dave Peny.

Archive - Noise

I hope you all enjoy!

Icelandic electronica, pretty freaking good if you ask me (especially "I'm 9 today", the first track).

This is one of my favorite albums of all time... I own it on Vinyl though, and Mum is one of the few bands who doesn't release Mp3 downloads with vinyl albums...

That being said, would someone please re upload this amazing album for me?

thanks

múm - yesterday was dramatic - today is ok 2000

Here you go, because it is amazing, and because you have it on vinyl.

One of my buddies has bought every Mum release available on vinyl, this is(was maybe?) such a great band.

Thanks Bruddah!

~and just so you know, they are still making amazing music.
I picked up their latest album "Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy" on vinyl this year and it is probably there best work, imho.

of course I cannot upload it since i dont have a fancy usb stenograph, and as mentioned, they do not include mp3 downloads.

Its a good one, if you can find it :todcasil:

Yeah I know, I actually saw them last year but I really like the stuff that Kria Brekken did. They still sound great, but I think these older albums are better IMHO

Grails - Red Light

some post-rock out of portland.  for those of you who don't know, the post-rock genre is essentially defined in most people's minds by explosions in the sky and god speed! you black emperor.  this is very much in the same vein with it's long winding sequences that tend to avoid repetition from song part to song part.  i'm not a huge fan of the first couple songs, but i feel it picks up towards the middle.  overall, good stuff.

Use winzip or winRAR to compress the album.

Use megaupload or rapidshare to upload the zip or rar.

Post the link that ether site gives you.
