portland, oregon’s the battle of land and sea create lush, dreamy, whimsical folk songs that bring back past memories of mazzy star. together singer/songwriter sarah o’shura and guitarist joshua canny share in experiences from their past and relate them into the future. after forming in 2006 and placing a few songs on myspace, they were signed to nontenuf records and recently, released their self-titled debut with cover artwork by mel kadel.

^_^ Yes! Animal Collective is a lot of fun, I haven't heard anyone quite like them -
querky but very warm, amazing lyrics. "Fireworks" and "Peacebone" on their album Strawberry Jam are great songs.

Nothing new in weeks....

'Nice going, God!

Nobody but You could have done it, God! I certainly couldn't have.

I feel very unimportant compared to You.

The only way I can feel the least bit important is to think of all the mud that didn't even get to sit up and look around.' "
