After finding that Say Hi To Your Mom album on here, I remembered that I used to really dig one of their songs.
It is called: Let's talk about Spaceships. I don't have the full album or anything, but you guys should check this one out, I enjoy it.

i dunno man, i rather liked bug. in fact, that's the one that's getting uploaded next. i think it's an acquired ability to hear past the distortion or something.
Bee Thousand is like the ultimate lo-fi pop. Dinosaur Jr isn't quite so poppy, but it fills a craving of mine.

Dinosaur Jr. is good times, but I happen to be a lo-fi whore. I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea. This record is definitely my favorite of theirs though.

I'm having problems with the divshare links. The first four or five I DL'd let me nab them all at once but now they only DL every half hour or so, kind of randomly.
Mediafire lets me grab them all at once, though, FTW

Lo-Fi, FTW!!
alright, so i decided i wanted to post up a fair number of late 80s / early 90s lo-fi indie rock. these are a few of my fav from the genre.
Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me (1985)
 Dinosaur Jr. - Bug (1988)
late 80s lo-fi indie goodness. some killer guitar solos, particularly in the second half of "raisans" on the first album and "let it ride" on the second.
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy (1985)
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Barbed Wire Kisses (1988) - a collection of b-sides, but damn good b-sides.
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Honey's Dead (1992)
the jesus and mary chain is a bit slower and more soulful for the most part, his voice echoing as if from the cavernous depths of despair. some really beautiful stuff.
 My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything (1988)
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (1991)
similar to The Jesus and Mary Chain in that it's generally a bit slower and heart-wrenchingly beautiful, although these albums (especially isn't anything) are slightly more produced and polished. not quite as lo-fi. however, loveless makes excellent use of crazy heavy distortion. "something" tears me up damn near every time i listen to it.
 Sonic Youth - Sister (1987)
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation (1988)
arguably two of the most influential albums from the era. i'm a bit biased, but imho, these albums fucking rock.
Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted (1992)
Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (1994)
my favorite band ever. these are their least polished, more lo-fi albums, and more than often hailed as their bests. great stuff.
Archers of Loaf - Icky Mettle (1993)
awesome heavy noise pop. very grungy and crunchy. great, great album. seriously, please don't overlook this one because it's at the end of the list. this album is easily one of my top 5 favorite albums of ALL TIME. it's simply a masterpiece.

Pavement, I was going to request a lo-fi playlist in OTD for an upcoming trip, actually.

the div-share files only work well for me at nite, and if i let them sit open to long, sometimes i have to go through the "download --> skip ad" process three or four times
