my insaine agar contam blaster idea.

I realize the very stupidity of this idea opens me up for ridicule, but i have been working with agar for about 6 months now and this is something i will definatly try.

last time i innoculated plates, i got this tiny little black spot of black mold, relitavly far away from the mycelium cluster which by this time was dime sized. I went ahead and did transfers with no problem. Later, while holding a sample up to the light, i had the idea. What if i were to go outside in the sunlight, with my huge magnifying glass, and simply fry that little black dot like an ant. Focus it right through the top of the taped off dish, and obliterate it. unfortunatly i had destroyed the contaminated sample by the time i thought of this. Next time i have the same situation, i definatly do this. I will brobably end up breaking a few dishes, or creating smoke inside my culture, but if it's not to bright outside, it just might work. i just felt i should post it before i forgot it like most of my other "great" ideas

I can imagine that through the currents that will form in the dish the spores will be getting carried to every spot at the dish.
