Love the overhaul for Xmas. I am thinking of my B+ mini casing that I had to leave alone for the holidays. Is it bad if all the shrooms in a flush grew and opened and dropped spores, what if they are left there are not picked for 4 days, will that cause problems??

Depends on what stage they are at...
if you already have pins or fruits and don't have any way of providing FAE (fresh air exchange) it might be best to pick them before you leave.
if you have a fruiting chamber with some sort of FAE system you could possible leave them alone til you get back... depending on how far along they are.
If they are getting ready to open up and dump spores... you might wanna pick them... to prevent spores being spread everywhere and to keep the fruits from starting to rott.
Happy Holidays!~

DAMN! I got home thinking I would have a few good mushies waiting for me. What i found was a bitch. I guess I had a little trich in my FC that I didn't know about. When I got back this is what I found;

Real letdown. I figure I could have caught it right when it started and had at least a good flush out of it. I am going to totally wipe down and sterilize my rubbermaid and use new fresh perlite.
Can I still salvage the perlite that is in the FC? I have read that you can wash the perlite and then bake it in the oven to sterilize it again. How is the success rate of this method?
