I'm kind of in the same boat as your boyfriend, only I don't have a CD released. If I were in that situation and somebody got me a gift, I'd be most appreciative of something that helped with music. A nice new set of speakers, some sort of sound equipment he needs/wants, maybe a music software program or add-ons to one(s) he uses. Anything in that vein, really.
If you can't think of something meaningful but want him to feel good about his accomplishment, there's always the option of crazy victory sex.

Buy the first cd. He makes the money off it and then see if he buys you something.

he just bought two huge sexy speakers. and has a whole studio going on basically. anything he really wants, i can't really afford.. such as a flute, which he probably ended up getting this morning for christmas. he already seems to have all the software out there he wants too. so i'm kinda stuck with getting him stuff like that.
and as for the sex, i figured someone would reply with that somewhere. heh

he's planning on giving out cds for late holiday gifts, but that's a good idea, i should just buy it instead.
