Just looking for some helpful insight here! 4 days ago (Thursday) I went in for nasal surgery, as I had polyps, enlarged adenoids, and a deviated septum. Somewhere along the line I think I also caught a cold, as I'm utterly miserable on and off, it's sporadic. My head hurts from time to time, and my body is just generally sore. I haven't smoked since before my surgery, and I don't know if there would be any ill effect from smoking right now. I would imagine the high would make me feel better, or at the very least take my mind off of my predicament, but I really don't know--and that's where you all come into play aha. I appreciate any advice you guys have to give, also if anyone has gone through the same surgical procedures as I have, I would appreciate any personal experiences as well! Thanks

Sounds like lots of respiratory stuff...I probably wouldn't recommend smoking (though I might do it myself in your case lol)
I would recommend baking yourself something tasty, or making fire crackers if you're feeling lazy.

Yeah I was thinking firecrackers as well. i seem to remember reading somewhere that smoking weed while sick prolongs the sickness? is there any truth to this?

I dunno, I suppose it could be possible, but I always smoke when I'm sick. It makes me eat, calms the stomach, and makes you just feel better. The only reason I'd be concerned in your case it probably wouldn't be good to get smoke in your nasal cavaties or w/e. Don't want an infection.

I always smoke at least a little when I'm sick. It's medicine. It makes me feel better so I don't have to focus on my sickness. Just choose the smoking device you own that produces the least harsh type of smoke. A vaporizer is optimal.

If you don't have one I would say with what your going through smoking would be a bad idea. Years ago I had adenoids removed and after smoking too much I actually hemorrhaged. The way to stop the bleeding was a very vary bad experience which I won't even go into but believe me you never want that to happen to you!

don't do any more drugs up the nose, mmkay?
i would only say you should smoke to help you sleep. you need rest and liquids. it always helps. clean your system out. try avoiding smoking. it most likely will make the pain worse, as whenever you smoke, it travels through your respritory system, which can include your nose. smoke traveling through a nose that just experienced surgery is asking for further complications/problems. you need to wait until it heals before you touch your weed again....unless of course, you were to bake some delicious brownies. That would turn your miserable situation into oodles and oodles of fun! and think about what a lovely christmas you would have!!

All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." --Max Planck
