Interesting thing happened on the way to papaya substrate

Take a look at this, it happened by accident, with out any steril conditions. I had saved a bunch of papya seeds to grow & dried them out, they do still have a sticky residue from the clear sack that encases them. I had come across a print in a box of stuff, took out the print & used the empty bag to store the seeds. A short couple days later i notice mycelium growing on the seeds.

Looks like the seeds weren't as dry as you thought they were.

yes, there was still some stickyness to them, but the seeds sat out in open air on a coffee filter drying for well over a week and the bag was the same, not sterilized. I dug around for info on papaya & the seeds are known to be used as an anti bacterial application to cure infections, but they were also listed to be antifungal, obviously not antifungal to this type of fungus.
