RR & Wild Bird Seed...

I simply want to hear what the man himself would say on wild bird seed (wbs). Or anyone else for that matter... lets have it, what works for you?:stoned:

MANGO

Snowman wakes before dawn. He lies unmoving, listening to the tide coming in, wave after wave sloshing over the various barricades, wish-wash, wish-wash, the rhythm of heartbeat. He would so like to believe he is still asleep.

It works great for spawn, not so well for direct fruiting.

It's cheap and effective.

RR's a rye grain man.

I would be too, if I could afford it.

I gave up on wbs due to the inconsistent types of seed in it. It works, but rye is much better and only costs about 5 cents per quart jar if you buy it in 25 pound bags.

Personally, I love WBS for the fact that it colonizes faster (for me) than rye or wheat berries. It also produces a LOT of good spawning mycelium due to the small kernel size of the millet/milo.

Although it will produce potent mushrooms when fruited directly, it will not produce good yields by itself. It's much better suited for spawning to bulk.
