Cool mist questions

Im thinking of going bigger this time around. I was thinking a cool mist connected to 2 large tubs. would a cool mist provide enough humidity to fruit casings on its own? If not is there anything i can add to increase RH (not a Ultra-sonic)? (Ultra sonic is my last resort since they run pretty $$$$ here). Any and all help would be appreciated.

Also, regarding light. i was thinking of stashing it all in my closet. i dont need to hide it but i dont like clutter. could i hook up a desktop light to a compact florescent on a timer? extension cord -> Desktop lamp -> CF light ?

you mean like an extra tub half filled with damp perlite connected to the tubs via plumbing?

i got an nice idea!
cool mist -> external tub (perlite) -> Fruiting chamber ? sounds like it would work? (amplify humidity in the passing air?)

i dunno how well that would work..
go for it though it'd be a good experiment!
i was thinking more of a larger tub outside of each of your tubs.. or just make sure you use a good casing layer and mist it whenever possible..
really depends what kind of tubs/how big they are..
if that doesn't seem possible i would say go for the ultrasonic..
sorry if i wasn't to helpful.. maybe if you drew a diagram or some pictures i could get a better idea of what you are needing.
