Colorado source for Scotts 3 in 1
    #779262 - 07/26/02 08:43 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

I have called every nursery, hardware store and k mart wall mart etc. in my area and no one carries it because they all carry the local eko compost brand. So does anyone know of a place in colorado where I can get it, preferably in denver or north suburbs? or has anyone tried the eko compost with any luck? thanks for the time.

It's a store bought compost that many people have had huge success with. You could make your own compost but I dont have the time/space for that so I am hoping to find it. If you want to see pics using it check out night trains "store bought compost=pretty good shit" in the pictures forum.

I don't know about in the Denver area, but down here in Castle Rock they do sell some Scott's products at Safeway so I would imagine. It may be possible to find it at your local Safeway with the gardening stuff. Thats next to the produce at the Safeway here.

Did you check the local plant nurseries? There are several decent ones in the Denver are. Paulino Gardens come to mind. Also try O'Toole's Garden Center They have three locations around Denver.

I got my Scotts at the local Lowes (but then again im not in Colorado) but had to go to the outside part of the nursery where they keep their crates and shit- right where they do deliveries and stuff- I hadnt seen it before because i didnt look hard enough but then I found the jackpot and theyve got a couple crates of it stacked on top of eachother but its basically compiled of organic compost and and manure, and its got a .05-.05-.05 N-P-K rate and pretty much everyother org compost or manure mix (which is what youd want) had the same ingridients and N-P-K ratio so I dont see why they woulldnt work also- I think the guy that had such HUGE success with it probably picked up the Scotts bag first and didnt try any others
I havnt started yet with my scotts bag but plan to do so by sunday

I called everywhere I could think of. No place seems to carry it. So I will try other composts and hope to find a good one. But still if anyone could still send me a few bags, i am willing to pay a few extra bucks for the effort.
