Hey James, we're just lucky as hell to live in the Puget Sound Region. The proper habitats are prime and plenty. And when you're the first person to stumble upon the first flush from a healthy patch.... It can be overwhelming Happy Huntin'
Don't forget to share... (if you ever find yourself saying "how am i ever going to pick all of these before dark", that is)

Just stopped by a clearing off of Hwy 14 in vancouver wa, a place being anexed for housing and my girl and I found about 70-80 very large cyans today an amazing find since I wasn't sure any made it through the cold. I will post pics soon as i get them on my digi cam. I just wanted to share my findings as i am new this season to hunting.

Cyans from Sunday and my farewell to the season [Re: Ambient Blues]

These are from Sunday December 9th. I was happy to be able to get my hands on a friend's camera and finally snap some shots for my last venture of the season.. it's just getting too damn cold out there. Plus, I have found more than my fair share this year, so there's really no need for any more intentional hunting. I certainly doubt that they're all quite done growing yet though, particularly stunzii's, etc. Keep the pics coming.
I look forward to sitting down and looking through all of the pages of this thread that I haven't yet seen, but from what I have seen so far, great pics everyone and this was a fun season.
Much love to everyone at the shroomery and for all your help throughout the years. Thanks and enjoy the pics.

So, I went out to the 2nd biggest of my 4 patches 2-3 weeks ago, and picked all these guys from it. Unfortunately, I let half of them sit in my garage for 3 weeks, so they took a long time to dry, accumulated some mold, ended up tossing that half out.

Decided to get some spores and spray the crops. Anyone done this with success? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70/darkstar8950/IMG_0119.jpg
Went back to the same patch two days ago(along with the other patches which were bare). Man was I surprised to find a third of what I picked the last visit...

I must say, I'm very pleased with what I got with my first season coming to a close.

Dang Jaymes. Those little buggers dropped so many spores. Non of my finds printed well at all. I have not tried the spores in a bottle trick, but I have wanted to. I did however do the blender tek, and it is working very well. I think it will work with spores, but you should dilute it more. You could get a lot more water in there and still be effective. Imagine what a spore syringe looks like. You can hardly see any spores at all and they work. So I think that you could spread it out a lot more. Peace.

sweet, I was wondering how big the spores actually were, like, if they would just get filtered or whatever... I still have other spores coming from my last picking, i'll be sure to do that.
I'm thinking the reason they dropped so many is because they were left out in moist cold weather, unable to dry for a long period.

I'll bet that if I went to the coast right now, I could find some azurescens. I'm thinking about checking it out the week after christmas. It hasn't really gotten that cold around these parts yet.

Weather's been prime at the coast this whole time. I think there was only one or maybe two nights a few weeks ago that it actually got below freezing. I've got enough to last me the year, so I'm not making the journey, but I'm sure it'd be a fruitful one.
