You all maybe saw the semis I picked on the 24th, during _relatively_ warm weather. With the hope of acheiving the holy grail of mushroom cultivation, a warm-fruiting liberty cap, that might conceivably be grown indoors, I decided to try and clone them. I placed 4 tissue samples from the cleanest, freshest looking specimens onto "antibiotic" peroxidated MEA after a brief peroxide bath. The agar contained 1ml of h2o2 per 150ml, and a small drop of aquarium antibiotic for extra security.:D 3 days later 2 of the samples are showing around 5-10mm of growth and 2 are showing none. I'm rather surprised at the speed the mycelium appears to have become accustomed to the peroxide, as cubensis cultures sometimes take up to a week to show growth in my experience, and I was under the impression that semilanceata is a rather delicate, slow growing species. Which makes me suspicious.... Either I have found some super-strain of semilanceata, or a contam. If it isn't a contam I *may* become rather excited Anyone got any pics of what semilanceata mycelium looks like? Or any other comments?

I do not have a pic for you, but I would like to see your mycelium.

No you wouldn't, it turned out to be pinhead mould My suspicions were correct. Tsk. Oh well, at least the other 2 samples are contam free....
