So I know we frequently talk about favorite drinks but what im wondering is whats every ones favorite Micro brews. Or even whats the best local Micro Brew in your area. Well mine has to be Long Trails Double Bag. Its 7.2 % and tastes great. I love their whole line but the Double Bags are far superior to any beer ever made. But thats just IMO.

shiner is good.
I live in colorado, and there's a pretty impressive amount of microbreweries around here. To be honest, I haven't really found any that I disliked so far, but my favorite has got to be something like sunshine wheat or Sweaty Betty.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microbrewery A microbrewery, or craft brewery, is a modern brewery which produces a limited amount of beer. The maximum amount of beer a brewery can produce and still be classed as a microbrewery varies by region and by authority, though is usually around 15,000 barrels (18,000 hectolitres/ 475,000 US gallons) a year.
Rogue surpassed that limit long ago.
Not sure if Saison Dupont is micro but goddamn, it is good. Mikeller's Beer Geek Breakfast is my latest favorite.
Locally, I guess I have to pick Foothills' Seeing Double although it is by no means a favorite. Pretty much anything output by Cottonwood is good although I have to say that their pumpkin ale is better than any I have ever tried.
Coopers is a new find as well. Their sparkling and their IPA are both outstanding.
Realistically, I am so deluged with fucking good beer and wine that I really don't have any "stand-bys" anymore. What is the point in limiting my palate?

Fat Tire Belgian Ale 5.2%, glorious beer. Very cool story to the whole thing too. Lemme summerize:
Guy moves to Europe, takes his favorite bicycle. Rides all over Belgium visiting brewers throughout the country and taking notes. Returns west coast and blends the ideas together for his own new brew.

Cooper Smith's in Ft Collins Colorado is the best brewery I've ever been to (25+)
I have a developed wine pallet, and I'm super picky about beer, but this place is just crazy. Even the stuff I don't like I appreciate. I feel like I'm drinking art.
As much as I respect New Belgium, & even O'Dells, I don't think they hold a candle to Cooper Smiths.
Of course, they brew and distribute on a MUCH larger scale, so it's a totally different ball game.

Leinenkugels is great stuff, not microbrew, but still great. A friend from work told me that in Lacrosse a lot of the bars have them on tap and commonly mix them. A half berryweise with a half creamy dark is called a black bear. I tried it out for myself last week and thought it was awesome.

Fat tire is damn good stuff, I got to try it out when I visited brother in Colorado. When I was there the had a new one out called Skinny Dip, it was a lot like fat tire except a bit hoppier.

Leinenkugels is the shit! I've head of mixing 1/2 beery weise and 1/2 honey weise for a honey-berry but I've never heard of mixing berry wiese and creamy dark. I'll have to try that out sometime.
I'm not sure if this is considered a micro-brewery but I really like the "Spotted Cow" from New Glarus Brewing Company. I'd highly recommend it.

Leinenkugel's is good as hell. I drink that stuff like it's water.
Good beer rocks. How can people drink swill like Coor's Light and Budweiser? Yuck....that mass-produced watery beer is just disgusting.

I'm not sure if new glarus still qualifies as a microbrewery. Fat Squirrel by new glarus is fuckin' delicious too. If you're into the wisconsin area Microbrews ya should give central waters a try, Mudpuppy Porter is badass.

I live in Colorado as well, there is a Liquor Store here (Davidsons) that sells sweaty betty and a ton of other brews but if I am going with The Boulder Beer Company I prefer Hazed and Infused Ale. I have to really love a certain microbrew in order to justify the higher prices usually placed on them, as I can often get a good european lager, typically German or Belgian for the same price or less.
I hate how after I started liking Third Eye IPA they raised the price of a 6 pack 50 cents. Those mother fuckers are takin' advantage of me.

If your a hophead you'd like the titan ipa, it was unbelievably hoppy and had a great character to it and was actually somewhat clear. It was so ridiculously good it damn near brought a tear to my eye. I've seen it once and haven't seen it since.

I will definitely check it out, I think I have seen it before, and if I do, I will pick up a sixer or so.
for the record the only domestics I drink are Pabst Brewer/Milwaukee beers, you know, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Heilemans stuff (the recipes are the same but they have gone to virtual brewery status) They have the distinction of being not only being cheaper but better.

I wish I was drinking a beer right now. I have to stop drinking beer as part of my new years resolution to lose that bit of weight I put on in the last year

Fat Tire does rock the socks. I was smart enough to take a bunch of East Coast micros to Bonnaroo one year and traded practically all of it for a bunch of Fat Tire someone else was smart enough to bring. It simply cannot be gotten East of the Mississippi.
I like alot of what Ska Brewing puts out esp. the True Blonde Dubbel.
