Just got back from seeing this flick. It made me want to visit India. Owen Wilson is a good actor. Check it out if you get the chance. It expands on the spirituality of Indian culture with the reality of our culture mixed in.

I totally want to see this.  I saw a preview for it a few months ago and it looked really good.

Really good.  It's playing in Chicago but I think it's almost out of the theaters.  Should be on DVD soon.  Let me know what you think of the beginning when you see it.  Natalie Portman plays a small role, but once again she's perfect. Enjoy.:thumbup:

Don't see it unless you are a big fan of Wes Anderson films. If you aren't you'll most likely not enjoy it.

Personally, I thought it was a disconnected mess. It didn't flow worth a shit and the typical Anderson style is annoying as hell.

Visually it was quite nice.

I'm not a typical Wes Anderson fan.  Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore were good, but I don't feel about them like some people feel about them.  I thought the short film at the beginning with Schwartzman and Portman was hilarious.  The whole movie made me want to travel, not plan a trip, just pack my bags and escape for a month or two.  :strokebeard:

The character interaction was so disconnected and the dialoge reminds me of awkward small talk with someone you really don't like. Of course that's what they were trying to represent in the movie, but it was so "off" and annoying it really didn't do much for me.
