a question for those who do not use pressure cookers

what do you use on the bottom of the kettle to separate the jars from the bottom? i watched the PF-Tek videos from RR and they use jar lids but im just wonderin what the people on this site use.

I have used a cloth before i bought myself a pressure cooker. Now i use the steamer tray that came withthepressur cooker

I like to put wide mouth jar lids on the bottom, with a couple old rags on top of the lids for a buffer from heat conduction.

a vegetable steamer. super cheap, effective, PLUS you can make a nice vegetable platter after you're done.

i used some chicken wire with the edges folded into a circular type shape. i used the same batch of wire to make drying baskets (stuck to a house fan with magnets, works great to keep shrooms stuck close to the fan on high speed mode), and also used the wire along with coffee filters to make a desiccant chamber that is tiered.

You can put an inch or two of perlite in the bottom too.

u always use a canner and i got a tray at dav when i got it for a grand total of 6 dollars i got it and it works perfectly
