When making your own electric magnetic stirrer can you use two or more smaller magnets instead of one large bar magnet, and if is there a certain way anyone would recommend.

And when it comes to that fantastic note where the rabbit bites its own head off, I want you to THROW THAT FUCKING RADIO INTO THE TUB WITH ME! Not me. It would blast you through the wall stone dead in ten seconds and they'd make me explain VVVVV Free Myco Thread

the method that worked well for me was simply:
small squarish rubbermaid plastic container (for a sandwich or something) 4 square pieces of cardboard (or anything working as a spacer) 4 zip ties pc fan 9v power adapter from uneeded/broken electronics (the black boxes you plug in) hard drive magnet (or comparable small STRONG magnet) super glue or hot glue
then, we do this: glue magnet off-centered to spinning fan, with 4 holes punched in top of plastic container, aligned to the holes of the pc fan, with zip ties holding pc fan to the lid, with spacers in between fan and lid. purpose of spacers is to give the magnet clearance.
then simply splice your black box adapter to your pc fan (simple +/- wiring), put the lid on the box, and plug it in and watch it spin.

test em. I'd rip apart an old hard-drive and take that out.
if you still can't get one. pm me, i'll trade a hard-drive magnet.

go to your local computer store, preferably local rather than corporate. ask them if you can have any dead hard drives, they'll usually let you have them. i always offer a bag or two of skittles or some like candy as trade offerings.
