Mycelium Pics: Aria 51 strain.
    #7782680 - 12/20/07 06:18 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

This is some myc pics I snapped.
These are from a multispore syringe created from a print of the aria 51 strain. This strain was discovered in the wild in Texas by a fellow shroomery member.

Closeup of brf/verm jar.

Closeup of WBS jar...

WBS Jar 15days from MS innoc.

BRF/Verm Jar 18 days from ms innoc.

Looks very stringy like, not anything like the ones I've grown. Where did you get the print? never even heard of it

Area 51 is in Nevada. But that hardly matters.

I like the second picture. Nice fuzzy Mycelium. Good luck with it.

Aria 51, not Area 51, is a famous mushroom fruiting ground not in New Mexico or Nevada, but in TEXAS, people!

That is some very healthy and beautiful looking mycelium. Aria 51 is an amazing strain. I've indulged in numerous strains, and my favorite is Aria 51 by far. The experience isn't like your ordinary cube experience. If you haven't had an Aria 51 trip, you don't know the meaning of magic!

Very nice work, Fraggin! Can't wait to see the distinctly odd and different looking cubes that the 51 strain produces.

A cube is a cube.
We tell this to noobs.
They swear the effects vary.
Some trips mellow, some trips hairy.
Based on giggles and landscape wiggles,
The idea is disected little by little.
In the end, when results are in,
A cube is a cube except for this spin.
A cube is a cube whie it's in your hand.
But in your tummy, the contrasts are grand.

I will NEVER agree with "A cube is a cube":crankey:,they may grow similar but they never trip the same...or even remotely close to the same,o and before anyone says its set and setting that is not true in my opinion either, not at all.Either way this is one of those

type of things cause no one agrees

Poem was awesome! Very ironic that I just saw Sweeney Todd while tripping own 3 grams dried F+ Everything anyone says sounds like a Rhyme or sorts, and I swear I still hear the music in the back ground. (Sweeney Todd is A MUST SEE Musical for those of you who are not familiar with it.)

Good poem

psilocybin, psilocin and baeocystin (baeocystin being nearly non-existent and not at all in most samples) are the chemicals present in Cubensis. In several years ive never heard anything else being in cubes, And psilocybin turns into psilocin in your body. so youre only tripping on psilocin in the end....

that took some studying to pull out of my ass.

I'll snap some pics later this evening, but I wanted to get some input.

This is not a domesticated strain, though the print was taken from a cultivation. The first print was taken from the wild.

The myc ripped throught he wbs/verm cakes really quickly and I only inoculated at two points. I was hoping that it would pin well and flush well too. In most of my experinece, Once I noticed pins, I would start cleaning the dehydrator trays.

These guys seem to be taking their time and some of the cakes have just had knots for days.

I'm also waiting one some wbs jars to finish up so I can see how they respond when spawned to bulk.

I used the pf tek as well because I only had one print and I wanted to ENSURE that I had at least a few caps as a backup in case the WBS innoculations didn't take.

So, the pf tek is straight forward. half pints, right ratio, pc'ed 15psi, colonized at room temps, in a fc with FAE, 5" perlie, 90% humidity.

This is my first attempt at cultivating a non-domesticated strain. Has anyone else experienced odd anomolies when using a rare or wild MS inoculation?

i just received prints from another shroomery member. They were also the first print taken from a wild non-domesticated Texas strain. i inoculated 5 wbs jars 5 days ago and saved the rest of the print. from those, 3 are almost done colonizing completely 95%+ and the other two are forming very slow at around 15-35%.Tomorrow i am going to pasteurize my coir/verm and compost and make 3 spawn bags, ill update on those and snap sum pics if anyone wants to see.

I'm am officially reminding you! I've got a couple of Texas strains and plenty of F+ if you're still interested in either sharing or trading.

This morning, I checked the pile-o-fun-guys on the fan, and that pile looked about 1/3 of the side it did when I put them on there. Those things really shrunk in size. Quite unlike their siblings on the BRF/Verm Cakes. Thier PF Tek Counterparts simply wrinkled up a bit, and got really hard and dry. These ones in the picture on the fan shrunk a whole hell of a lot.....
Any theories?

Aha!!

Very nice flush, Fraggin.

Usually for me, any mushrooms that are grown on cakes don't lose too much size when they're dried, but any mushrooms that are grown on casings usually shrink up a lot more...

I never guess. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Ok,
I clipped 14 caps to print...

Only 3 blessed me with spores.. One being a partial print.

I talked with others familiar with this strain and they said this is normal...

I already have 3 people that pm'd me about getting prints..
