Sorry i don't know cacti at all. This is just a random cactus out the front of someone's house. It's a long shot on it being anything useful

thanks

A cereus of some kind is my bet..

dubiousness Dubious compound it is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong. A penalty for possession of a drug/plant should not be more damaging than the drug/plant itself.

Dear Cacti people.
I did a bit more research, but more than that i actually saw a San Pedro at a local nursery (and i might have bought it too).
The giant one in that pic and mine look preeettyy similar, what makes this a Cereus and not an Echinopsis pachanoi?

think of cacti as a school. them cacti you got a picture of are the ones that spend every second inside a dark room playing dungeons and dragons or flirting on the librarian...tall, scrawny and pale...pedros are like the jocks that are big and fast and.....
pedros are fatter and have different spines, and the areolos point a funky direction.

Thanks i never knew cacti could play Dungeons and Dragons. Are they ever successful with the librarians?
Actually now i look closer at photos that's a pretty good analogy hey.
Do you think this one would be able to make the football team?
