Found some mushrooms in a park nearby my house and was wondering if anyone could give me an ID on them.




Habitat: Fertilized grass
Cap: ~2in. across,wavy, caramel color in center to white ring
Stem: White and thick, not easily snapped
Gills:Light brown
Spore print: Light to dark brown
Location: California, Bay Area

i guees is a inocybe , not edible and toxic,there is a slig change could be agrocybe too.

Another thought is Hebeloma (also poisonous). Do they have any particular odor? Both Inocybes and Hebelomas often have distinctive odors.

Yeah they have an order, although I don't exactly know how to describe it. "Earthy" is my best bet lol.

Most mushrooms have a somewhat earthy odor. A lack of a distinctive odor just helps eliminate the various species that have one.

Hebelomas often smell like radishes.

Inocybes have lots of weird (often unpleasant) odors. Common ones include fruitlike, green corn, and spermatic.

Pretty sure this one is Hebeloma, Inocybe usually has a drier and more fibrillose cap and thinner stem.
