I noc'd up a pint cake with multispore EQ then i took a biopsy from the largest pin (also the first)
and started a cloned culture on BRF agar substitute

it was a small pinset that netted a large fruit
its obvious from what I have seen that dense fruits come with cooler
fruiting temperature

overnight temps in the 60's .. you get fast thin fruits at
room temp and cooler temps make slower denser fruits.. and I read somewhere more potent fruits when colder..
so we are talking about a 59 to 75 spread and they still fruit
i haver a second flush bag that has been outside for 39-40 deg F nights and 69-73 days temps and its pinning .. in vitro of course.. should be a very dense fruiting.

hmmm, its winter here and its starting to get colder, outidie 0C.

I dont turn the heating up at winter, so my fruiting temps are gonna drop a little.

I have just moved my fruiting chamber further away from my heater to drop it another few degrees.

well these were never subject to temps any higher than around 65-70, with it getting as low as 40 at some points

i just didn't expect them to get so large, i kept thinking 'surely by tomorrow the veils will form'
but they didn't for a week, they were 4"s or taller before they even got the little white bands

yeah that sounds right the colder temps make them mature slowly . if it was warm like in the 80's "remember folks cubes grow wild in florida in the summer" they can mature in a day

the largest ended up being 72.1 but only because i fell asleep and it managed to get it's cap half way open at just over a foot tall

the final fresh weight for the first flush ended at just under 2lbs
