ur supposed to put shrooms infront of a fan to dry them out, doesnt that hurt the shrooms... would it be better to eat fresh right away...
Also, does blowing hot air on them work better/ faster?

gee thanks for your help, and I'm just relaying the information that I've been given. Heat dries them out, you can put them in the oven and dry them, or a food dehydrator... do those not use heat?
So now I have two questions: 1. Is heat bad for the shrooms (its not that hot its just really warm air), or should I just blow normal air on them? 2. If oxygen hurts the psylocybin, then why blow air on them at all? 3. Would I trip more eating them fresh?

Oxidation occurs when psilocybin comes in contact with oxygen. i.e. when you break cell walls by pinching, bruising, breaking mushroom tissue (Correct me if I am wrong)
Fan drying is pretty much the normal method to dry mushrooms. And Using heat to dry them (low heat, like in an dehydrator) does not affect potencey enough to notice.
Many people here use dehydrators and fans to dry shrooms. Those hell bent against using heat, use boxfans and damp-rid.

i believe only over 200 degrees effects psilocybin whereas psilocin breaks down almost immediately when left out (oxidization). That is why people report using a dehydrator at 150+ degrees not effecting potency. there have been many recent topics discussing heats effects on shrooms.

You'll trip more eating them fresh. I've tripped off of under 10 grams of hawaiians which would be less than a gram dry. Not that that experience creates a fact. But from what people have said on this forum I believe the general conclusion is that fresh is the most potent. Any time that goes by after that and any drying reduces potency in some way shape or form. Although if you were to preserve the fresh mushies in honey I don't think you'd lose significantly less potency.

Proper Drying does not affect potencey to a degree that can be noticed by consumption. I have tripped off of less than 1 gram dry.
