Anyone here into Immortal Technique... how about some Sage Francis? Blackalicious?
I've seen Jurassic5, IT, JediMT, Cypress, Blackalicious and Nas in concert in the last year. Fucking amazing.
How some Swollen Members or Optimus Ryhme? Not as well known.

@ JMT I used to love them Violent by Design and Psycho-Social are even listenable, but after Jus left they fucking fell off. I'm mad I have to wait til I get back to school to listen to Dirty Acres, I've heard good things. I'm sure it doesn't touch A Piece of Strange, but that album's just awesomely good.
But yeah, I listen to hip-hop.

I'm not big into hip-hop, but I can certainly appreciate a nice beat and a decent flow, regardless of lyrical content. I've been listening to a lot of Geto Boys lately. Check 'em out if you're not familiar with their work. Track attached.
Very good song. Shows a more somber side of hip-hop seldom seen nowadays over the blare of failures like Soulja Boy.

niiice there are a decent amount of you listening to that REAL HIP HOP, that makes me happy.
but yea ZION I has recently just composed himself in my book as one of the most talented artists/groups that underground hip hop has to offer. i just recently discovered them in october and i've listened to them every single day since then. THEY ARE RAWWW! true and livin, MIND OVER MATTER, deep water slang are all phenominal albums. iMind over matter has 3 consecutive CLASSIC songs which are "trippin'", "how many times", and "evleveation"
yea but heres wat i listen to
Talib Kweli, Mos def, Jean Grae, Hi Tek, zion i, cunning lynguists, atmosphere, grafh, joel ortiz, jay z, pac/biggie/big L, gangstarr, common, lupe fiasco, afu ra, immortal technique, Little Brother, nas, lil wayne, wu tang....i could go on forever
keep listening to that real hip hop people

"how many times have you lied, cheated acted conceated?/ didn't need it ya want it, how many times blunted?/ how many scars and cuts, bruises from the battles?/ for those who got beef HOW MANY EVER SEEN CATTLE,/ KILLED IN COLD BLOOD, FOR YOU TO EAT IT UP?/ HOW MUCH MORE TILL SOMEBODY SAY THATS ENOUGH?/ how many times have you watched a full moon? how many times you cried alone in your room? how many times have ya felt the bass boom? how many times, how many times, yo.....
there lyrics are sooo mezmorizing and spiritually enriching sometimes...that song is phenominal
"tv, fear, PAIN, will leave you STAINED"
-------------------- "Life lived in the absence of the psychedelic experience that primordial shamanism is based on is life trivialized, life denied, life enslaved to the ego." "You teach the world how to treat you, by showing the world how you treat yourself."
