[ID REQ] Found in Garden

Hey fellow shroomers
Just as a disclaimer, I'm already pretty sure these aren't active or edible at all, but I figured I'd find out what species they are anyway. Actually, I'm 99% sure they're just lawn mushrooms, and possibly "Inky Caps". They were tiny yesterday, so I'm assuming they're in their early stages.
Ok, so I was doing some gardening the other day and I pulled out a stack of vines along the side of my house. In doing so I noticed several little mushroom heads popping up from the surface. Well, it's 24 hours later and they've grown a fair bit more than I had expected, and there's a ton of them.
So anyways, here's some pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated. Habitat: Near a tree stump, previously growing under vine. Cap: Light brownish color, brown spot on the top. Stem: White Gills: Dark Puprplish Black Pictures:

Any help identifying these is greatly appreciated
P.S - Images taken with cell phone, it was the best I could do Sorry.

I'll have to get a print. They were smaller than a fingernail yesterday, so they may be a bit young?

they are in fact an inky cap, a Coprinellus, C. micaceus or another almost identical species.

Yeah they definitely look like inky caps. You're probably going to get a black mess when you try and print them.

Yup, Coprinellus. Rather pale for C. micaceus, but then again, it wouldn't be the first time I saw an unusual species variant.
To the original poster- they are edible when the gills are still white, though usually more hassle than they're worth.

Thanks for the identification guys! Thought they might have been inky caps.
They're definitely fun to look at. There's so many of them just hugging the tree log right outside my bedroom, and they grow so damn quick.
Spore print was pitch black too, for anyone interested.

I don't notice any distinct macroscopic characteristics to set C. micaceus and C. truncorum apart. Could be either.

No, Coprinus micaceus doesn't grow in Australia. The official differences are microscopic but i've noticed that paler colour to be extremely common in truncorum. For instance i've never ever seen a truncorum that looks as hazel as the ones you linked to. evilhomer's pic is very indicative of what they look like here.
