I like will smith, he's done a lot of great movies IMO. However i didn't like this movie very much, i dunno but the post apocalyptic zombie survival movies are just too similar. I also thought 28 days/weeks later was utter shit as well. I was expecting a lot more from this movie but IMO the CGI sucked, the plot was mediocre at best, and they needed to develop the background story a bit more. I would have liked to see more about how the virus came about to wipe out the world then flashing back to the damn scene at the docks in NYC over and over and over again until they finally killed off his wife and kid (which during the first flashback to that scene it was completely obvious they were going to die).
All in all im glad i didn't pay a dime to see it and that i didn't have to leave my house either.

That's what I'm saying, I was told that the book was so great and the movie got so much hype I was expecting better. It didn't suck but It it will never make my top 20 list either.

man that movie stunk.
Read the book, I think you will like the ending a lot better its definately not a "hollywood ending." But you are right, the dog had to die.

FYI, the audio goes out of sync with the movie around 1 hr 10 min. Be prepared for 30 mins of a headache if you use this link. Happened to me last night, i ended up just listening to the audio and didnt pay attention to the movie too much. Great video quality tho.

I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen in a damn long time. Will Smith and SAM the dog made it happen better than X million dollar actor + X million dollar actor in any movie I have seen for years.

I thought it was a decent movie, no classic but definitely worth watching.
Never pay $10 to watch a movie, here's a link for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I just watched it. I liked it. Not spectacular, but it was good.
I'm really out of it, so maybe I'm missing something, but who the hell moved the manequin(george or whatever he called the thing) and set the trap for him?
They didn't put the notion across that those things were smart enough to sneak into a store he frequented, snatch the manequin and prop it up somewhere else in the city with an elaborate trap...so what gives?

I didn't get this feeling - I didn't get many feelings from the movie - BUT I figured Will Smith was just cracking up and stepped into his own trap.
Also Will Smith is not a great actor - hes just better than the idiots they are holding up - You know I watch a lot of foreign films and older movies - Its hard to say Will Smith is a "good actor" when I like American actors like Cagney, Stewart and Grant and those fabulous flicks from the 60's Japanese/Chinese cinema. Yeah, WS just doesn't hold up. OoD
