Media spotlight switch from Romney to Huckabee

Does it seem to anyone else that ever since a big deal was made about Romney being Mormon, there's been a switch on big media coverage of the GOP candidates to Huckabee, with emphasis on his humble Christian background. I remember a poll was done, saying the majority would be less likely to vote for a Mormon candidate. The implication is that Romney would be more or less unelectable. As a result, they need to push up someone else's numbers, in order to compete with real candidates.
What are we to make of this?
In b4 Ron Paul

i'm not impressed with any candidate except for Ron Paul. the guy has a good head on his shoulders and a seemingly spotless background.. we raised 6.04 million dollars sunday which is some kind of record.. why aren't there more votes coming in?
because he believes in real change.. and nobody wants that even though what we have now isn't working.
i am impressed that hillary and obama are doing as good as they are, being that they are a woman, and black, respectively.

I Obama.

The big name republican contestants are laughably lame this time around. None of them appear to me to be even remotely electable.
If Obama makes it, it will be the first time in my life that someone who didn't majorly suck got elected. I have high hopes for this election.

and how in the WORLD is Obama more electable than any of the republican candidates who all have far far far far far more experience in every area that being a president matters (governing, foreign affairs, etc etc). Please, Obama is a fad, not a president to be.
