I think your looking into it too much. Nothing can change you if you dont want to change. Its just like going to school, you can choose to ignore the lessons being taught or you can take those lessons and apply them to your life.

thanks for taking the time to ask. most people just ignorantly repeat stupid things they hear from other ignorant people that try to be an authority.
Shrooms arnt bad for you unless your already suffering or predisposed to mental illness. Whatever happens will end in 6 hours. You might get hungry or be tired. IME. Dont listen to urban myths, look here for your info at least.

Everything you experience is you. Your own mind is laid bear to yourself. If you want, you can ignore what you see and pretend it didn't happen, it was just a drug. Or you can accept what you see as a part of you and move on a better person for it. And no, it won't harm you. Mushrooms are completely harmless, physically.

Shrooms will not damage you physically. Somewhere there was a study, for whatever it's worth, that declares mushrooms to be no more toxic than an aspirin.
Your body will be safe during your trip.
Your mind, however, might scream the opposite while you are tripping. It could be such a weird experience for you (have you ever done any other psychedelics before?) that you forget it's all happening only in your mind and you convince yourself you're going insane. When I introduced a friend to his very first psychedelic experience (shrooms), he asked "Am I going crazy?" And I knew exactly what he was talking about when he said it.
But my friend was fine; you probably would be, too.
You will not die on shrooms, but while the experience is happening you might think you are. And in a way it is true: what the mushroom does is dissolve the illusion of the emotional and mental boundaries your ego has constructed since the age of two to two-and-a-half years old, when the world was split into "you" and "other-than-you." The mushroom breaks down that illusion, removes the mental conceptions of you and other-than-you, and leads you into blissful oneness with the universal mind.
Whether you have a good trip, and how it will affect your life afterwards, depends on too many variables to make a real prediction. The most important variable being your mindset prior to your trip and what expectations you might have. At your weight, the dose you are talking about is not likely to lead to full blown ego loss and the chances of you having a "bad" trip aren't that high. But you could be more sensitive to psilocin than others are, too. There are many things in keep in mind when considering whether to trip or not.
Tripping definitely changes you as a person. If it did not, it would not have been used all over the world in cultures for as long as it have. Are you asking more along the lines of, Could it make me freak out and I'll never be the same again?
That is pretty unlikely. It's happened, but mostly to people who shouldn't have been dabbling in alternative realities in the first place. But if you have a history of mental dis-ease, such as severe depression, etc., I would advise against you taking it, especially without a guide to help you.
I would suggest you read The Psychedlic Experience a few times and in particular meditate upon "set and setting" and what that means to you. Google both, read, and then put it out of your mind before you dose, relax, have a good time, enjoy, and see what it's all about.
Happy tripping.
