Hi The Mushroom I found today caught my attention because of the fact that the mushroom bruises and turns blue to black quickly, I found it on the lawn in Sydney, Australia;
Cap Colour; Dark red Cap size; 1 inch high x 1 Inch wide Cap shape; hooded Gills; Creamish
Stem; white Stem Height; 1 to 2 inches Stem Width; 1/4 inch

I could only find two Mushrooms, the larger one was black and shriveled up, and the other one, which I have, is smaller like I stated in the original post.When picking it, the first thing I did was rub it to see whether it would go blue, it did, so I cut the cap off and now I am making a spore print with it, do you think there is a good chance it could be active considering it is bruising blue?

not since the cap is dark red and since you are in australia..
i wouldn't eat anything growin out of your yard..
just start growin..
it's much easier m8

btw since you're in australia, have you seen a movie/tv show called Fat Pizza?
i randomly downloaded the movie a long, long time ago and love the aussie humor..

Looks like Hygrocybe conica, not active, possibly toxic.

don't post doc files. word viruses suck and detecting/cleaning them is not always the most reliable.
