What percentage of electoral votes does a candidate receive if he/she wins the state elections?

I can't find this someone please help.

Are you talking about the US Electoral College system in a presidential election? If so, here is a cool site that shows each states electoral votes, results of past elections, and lets you play with different results and possibilites.

A candidate needs only to win the top 11 states to win the election. The other candidate can take all 39 other states plus DC and still lose. This is why the "flyover" country is often largely ignored by candidates during campaigns.

Right, I looked at that site, but I still don't get the answer.

Would it just be 51 percent and higher or what?
