serious question about counseling

Lets say your going to college, your quite but try to talk to people.
At the end of the class you think your actually talking more, the people you do talk to you start to think they could almost be friends if you were to do something outside of class. Only reason i say almost is because they show no interest in doing so.
Long story short, i suspect they referred me to a student counseler for depression.
I myself feel what they did was cheap, shitty, and actually makes me feel bad. My problem isn't the lack of counselers in my life!
Whats everyones thoughts on this? Would you say anything to the suspected people who refered you?

Probably not, but I wouldn't be the friend of someone that referred me to counseling. I'd consider that an intrusion in to my privacy. Narcs IMO. You might be right to feel differently than I do, but you asked for opinions. Best regards, Anonymous.

Oliveplume here.
Don't mention anything to anyone. While you may feel kind of cheap and shitty for having this happen to you, look at it from their perspective. They probably thought they were doing a good thing, when in actuality they were not.
Just go about talking to the suspected people as if this never happened.
-Cheers

I HATE shit like that. When I was in high school they brought in a depression/emotional problems counselor and they had the teachers suggest to the counselor which students might need "help". I and about 20 other kids got called down to the office and had the counselor take us in one by one and try to talk to us. I was so fucking pissed. It was intrusive and humiliating. I understand why you're pissed.
I'll be honest with you man; I hated college. It sucked. College is supposed to be the best time of your life and I despised every second of it. I left and I don't regret it for a second. I'm actually thinking of going back and I know it will be a lot better this time around though.
If you don't want to be there then you don't belong there.

part of the reason i wanted to say something to them was because they thought they were being helpful, they should know it wasn't, and quite the opposite.
it only alienates me because now i know how they truely feel about me, at the end of the class here like i said i could almost call them friends....but now I just call them jackasses.

So heres what you do.
Mooch as many drugs off them as possible and make them think you're a jackass so they never help you ever again.
