ok ok, i'm usually not someone who brags BUT BUT.... this is too good to be true.
Before this year I could only squat 365 multiple times(with difficulty) and 405 max. And a front squat max at 275.
So this year and this cycle I'm pretty happy... My 1 rep max on back squat is 485lbs!!!! (I tried 500 after but couldn't get it)
For front squat---- 385!!!!!!!! and I felt like there was still room for more!!!
but my bench is pathetic as I injured my shoulder so the most I do may be 225 on a cautiously great day, but I stick with 145 and 195 just to stay safe and let the shit heal.
But yeah, I used to have a huge bench (max was 330), and did 295/305 for reps, hurt my shoulder and yeah now i'm blah with that.
AND NOW MY SQUATS ARE OUT THE FUCKING ROOF. They've also helped with my cleans as well. I just feel overall so much more powerful.
Also, new coach, and new strength program, me like so far
once again, i'm not one to brag but I never felt I'd be so comfortable at these weights with these lifts.
anyhow, anyone else have any maxes/gains they wanna share while we're at it?

Thats great. I was always WAY better at squatting than benching. I played football throughout highschool and played a year in college. Just isn't my thing anymore I guess. I'd like to get back into the weight room/gym and tone up again. The last time I max squatted I think it was in the area of 480-490? I just remembering being pissed that I failed the 500 try.
Bench was only like 295.
Powerclean: 305
Doesn't look like you need anyone to tell you to keep lifting. You got your motivation and it's working great for you. Keep it up! Thsoe are great numbers

Lifting weights is something I never got into -- and now it really shows. Hopefully I can make up for lost time this next while. Anyways, congrats on the numbers. Maybe one day I'll be able to share ;P

I'm proud of my clean and press (isn't that the one when you pull it up from the floor and shoulder press it over your head?) Anyways, I can do 135 for 2 or 3 reps, and I am pretty skinny guy. I feel like superman after that.
I do 50-60 lb. dumbells with seated shoulder presses for 6-8 reps.
I squat 225 for 6-8 reps. I think I could do significantly more for max or less reps but I really don't want to push my limits when my back is involved.
my bench is not the strongest. I worked hard at it for a year but I've never really been able to get over this plateau.. I can do 185 for 4-6 reps. I just started doing butterfly presses though and I think I'm hitting alot of areas I never got with regular bench.
all free weights of course.
yea that may not sound like much but I am 6'4" 190 lbs. Tall and skinny and I feel like I'm really pushing my physical limits.
