More FYF'S!!! What are these things?

Here are some more front yard finds. I know that I have at least 2 active species maybe three. I am perplexed by this first one. It does not match up visually with the fib/friscosa thing from the bay area. Maybe it is just a variant but it is weird.
What is this? The color has always been lighter, they will not grow any taller, they have a definite nipple, and now they are getting more wavy then cyan's. Maybe an actual real cyanofib. Not the friscosas but a real one? I do not know

Here is a pic of the other friscosas for comparison. These were cloned from a big bad ass one so that might explain the consistency in size and color

I am 99.9% sure that these are the real carmel capped cyanescens. Look how dark they are.

Here is a pic of one of the three intruder species. you can see 2 brusied previouslty frozen cyans up top under the bush. Shitty pic.

That black and red bark looks really cool!
As for the unidentified front yard finds, they look like the "Cyanofrsicosa" to me. Compare to these ones from Berkeley:

These ones don't have the umbo, but I've def found some at the museum with distinct umbos. One looked DAMN similar to an Azure!!!

maybe send samples of the first pic to workman, but to me it looks consistant with the friscosas.

If friscosas are a cyan variant, then it seems logical that there would be a spectrum of shapes and sizes between the two extremes. Of course, this is just unprofessional speculation.
How do the growth rates of these different types compare? The friscosas I've found seem to grown much more slowly than the smaller cyans.

And they certainly do! I believe Auweia has even posted some photos of patches that "warp" from Cyans to Friscosas from one end of the patch to the other. One large cluster of Cyanofriscosas that Suimush found also had some very Cyan looking, wavy capped specimens.

I've found that they grow at the same general rate when provided with plenty of water.

Maybe we should look back at the weather patterns since the friscosa's first popped up. We all know mushrooms vary depending on their environment. Its the reason that a wild cube can be cloned and look different if grown indoors.
Maybe a climate change is affecting them? Or maybe we really are witnessing "truly wild speciation" at work.

a climate change as in the different weather from wa to ca? Or a climate change from the bay to teh valley? Or a change due to global warming?

They are not Fibs.
>Or a climate change from the bay to teh valley?
No, I've seen these Friscosas in so many variations, and many which bear close resemblance to these, here in the Bay.
>Or a change due to global warming?
I wouldn't be surprised.... It'd be interesting to see if someone could get some patches going in San Diego in some well irrigated/shady spots....
