my mushrooms open their veils too early (pics in a few hours)

All my tai- lipa yai mushrooms on the only tai cake i had opened their veils before even standing upright, they are like 1 inches long. What the hell? Why did it do this? It happened to an amazonian a few months ago 2 (but that cake was real messed up and dehydrated) I'm just praying the rest of the shrooms do better (amazonian and argentinian) I'll send pictures after my final at 3.

Next time, you'll want to have the correct moisture level in your cakes. Dunking and rolling will help. Tiny, but mature fruits are caused by dry substrate. RR

i dunked em for 24 hours. But i live in colorado and the humidity is only able to reach 70-80% in my box.
Will each mushroom (regardless of size) still make me trip just as, or at least almost as hard?

You will need to get that up into the mid 90's. they will dry out faster than they can be supplied by the substrate.
You can use a small humidifier in the room to bring the rooms humidity up to around 50-60%
As for potency, its hard to say. I would go by what they actually weigh.

Hey...I live in Colorado, too. At least, my best friend's dog's owner's second cousin does. No problem with humidity here; able to achieve 100% humidity in a 90 liter (25-gallon) box with about four inches of perlite in it and two large airstones supplying fresh air at 180/liters an hour. In fact, I'm wondering how it will be possible to achieve less than 100% using this setup for fruiting, I might even have to drill some holes in my box to help with that.
What kind of setup are you using? It seems possible that you can achieve 100% humidity in Colorado; it's probably the setup you are using that is the variable you need to adjust.

i have a large plastic container about the size of a large trunk. It has may holes drilled in it and i fan it constantly anyways. about 5 inches of perlite. (however it dried up a lot cause its like 2 months old since i gave it the rinse and put it in, but i mist it like 8 times a day)

Ok so the dark, small purple looking ones used to look like lipa yai before i dried them up a little in the over. The fresh brown looking ones are the amazonians that opened during my final today.
I dried them for awhile at like 150 in the toaster over (but with the door cracked a little), how long should i dry the amazonians like this? Anyways the lipa yai got really shrivled and shrunken and dark, and the middle of the cap is really wet still. The amazonians are kinda soggy almost as well, (before the drying stage) is that normal?

oh and also, how many trips is this do you guys think... I have very little so I want to make sure i get nice trips out of all of them.
could the lipa yai's alone be a trip, theres like 5 super mini mushrooms and i heard that a little mushroom can hold as much cilocybin in it as a big one. there used to be bigger 2

Will be hard to tell without weighing them, drying them is easy, leave a fan blowing on them for a day, then into a tub with descicent for a day.
They have to be cracker dry otherwise they will rot or grow mould.
Also keep them in an airtight container as they can loose potency threw oxidation

A desiccant is a substance that absorbs moisture. In this case, it absorbs the moisture from the mushrooms to prevent decay and extend shelf life. If you've ever seen those little clear pellet packets that come in shoe boxes and many other products that say 'do not eat', that is usually a common desiccant called silica gel.
Search 'desiccant' in the upper right hand corner to find some of the more popular brands, sources, and methods of use.

If you are absolutely certain that they are dry, then you can go ahead. Using a desiccant is just a really safe step to follow to ensure that your shrooms don't rot.

Are they crispy dry? when you try and bend the stem it must snap instantly, not bend.
If they aren't like this, you will need the desiccant.
It is hard to get crispy dry with just fan drying unless the air where you are is very dry.
