Bulk Substrate Question (%s)

I have some WBS Qt jars at 100 percent colonization, and went and picked up coir, hydrated lime, gypsum, kelp meal, earth worm castings, and already have the coffee grounds in the coffee maker. I was more or less looking for % per volume mixture for the bulk, as I ignorantly picked a technique that lists nothing but ingredients, and pictures of him making it. Thanks in advance.

Makes two of us, I know there is nothing in bulk substrate section pertaining to coir by any means.

its the same as poo. 1:4 has always worked fine for me. As far as all the other ingredients, use them very lightly.

coffee you can 1 filters worth per half brick of coir
lime you dont put in your substrate it is for your casing layer.
gypsum do 5% of the volume of the coir
im not sure of the other two for i have never used them
you can also use verm at 10% by volume it will help retain water.
for coir your going to want to hydrate it first. then squeeze it to field capacity. then add your additives. then pasteurize it.
again, add all these additives after you bring your coir to field capacity NOT during the soak.

Uh, that's not what he means. And, haven't we had this conversation before? This isn't set in stone.
RR says 10% gypsum Coffee anywhere from 20-40% is standard, but 100% has been done before. Lime is for the casing typically, as the gypsum buffers the sub's pH. Castings are similar to coffee grounds in their use.. interchangeable.. I don't know a goddamn thing about kelp meal. Oil in very small quantities.. like a tablespoon or two per gallon. The rest.... coir. Maybe throw some verm in for good measure... or some BRF. Either at around 10%?

I know the spawn to bulk ratio, I am looking for the numbers by volume for the actual making of the bulk mix.

Sounds like you've come up with a decent recipe there. now go and mix it up, spawn it, grow it and then put up a grow log!
