Lets see em'.
Which do you reccomend. Which do you not reccomend. Which were the best.
Whatever just make it interesting.
The Matrix is mesmerizing i'll say that.

Spiderman 3 on 1 hit was cool, especially that one guy who is made out of sand.
Transformers on 3 good hits changed my life. Well, it was quite intense and very good to say the least.

i saw Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny while tripping on LSD Friday night. it was pretty fun and had some real trippy parts to it. if you can get Pink Floyd The Wall. Ive never seen it tripping but if you have the right sound system i must say it would be quite an experience.

Disney's Jungle Book Waking Life Dream Catcher (weeeeird) Yellow Submarine GD Movie Phish IT Fear and Loathing (of course) Big Lebowski (of course)
The Tripper... written and directed by David Arquette, had me in hysterics recently, towards the end of a really strong trip. Horror movie - Comedy. Sorta. The killer sports a Reagan mask and romps around the redwoods killing hippies at a music festival. Higly recommended.
Also go rent/find Allegro non troppo It's an Italian animators parody of Disney's Fantasia. AWESOME MOVIE. Everything is in Italian though. But there's a Boob Tree. Need I say more.

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition, on LSD Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in theaters on LSD Planet Earth, almost the entire series, on mushrooms Heart of Gold (the Neil Young documentary) on LSD The Fountain, on mushrooms Stop Making Sense (Talking Heads concert documentary, best thing ever created in the history of all humankind) on both mushrooms and LSD

anchorman dvd... the preview for "freaks and geeks" was scary as fuck... i literally thought it was sideshow freaks so i saw insanely deformed creatures from beyond instead of stupid kids. I actually had to ask someone if I was actually watching something because it was beyond comprehension. But then when the movie actually started it was kinda like watching everyone on the TV in a funhouse mirror... lol will ferral's head was HUUUUUUGE.

a couple months ago I got roped into eating some shrooms with my friends because it was some big celebration that i "HAD" to be a part of....little did i know that they were dead set on watching "the toxic avenger" on mushrooms. That whole scenario now ranks pretty high as one of my worst psychedelic experiences ever. uugghhh i felt so violated as i went to sleep that night, like i'd been fondled by a priest or something
I guess I should mention that i'm the kind of guy who thinks that watching movies while tripping is much like taking shots of whiskey in the bathroom during your AA meeting

I saw the truman show in theaters tripping, after the movie, my friend and I kept thinking there were cameras all over the place watchging us, and the radio started fucking with us, so for the rest of the night we felt like we were on our own show, and it was all set up. Fun I must say.

I DO NOT recommended John Carpenter's The Thing(1982)
This movie traumatized me as a child, and I'm still jumpy in the dark because of it!
I do recommended Ken Russell's Altered States(1980)
As for films I've seen while on something: Pink Floyd: The Wall (on pot)
That's it! I'm an outdoor man myself, and TV/movies turn me off--even when sober.

I will recommend Visions of Suffering (or anything by Andrey Iskanov) to those of you who are into intense and confusing things. We watched that at a party and 2 of our friends said it was amazing while the other 2 were cursing us for exposing them to it. Hehe.
I'm getting the Planet Earth series for Christmas so I bet that'll be fan-fucking-tastic.
Mirrormask by Jim Henson was quite enthralling during a come down from a night of shrooming.
There have been many, but those are the only ones that stick out at the moment.

I totaly agree, i remember reading the book when i was 14 (now 24) and it was the most amazing yet bizarre story ever. I have never seen the film but i really want to and watching it triping hard sounds like heaven.
The last film i watched tripping was the producers, it was great the musical dances seemed to intensivy the trip and visuals too!! intime with the music

I am surprised no one has said it. Alice In Wonderland. I watched it on my first acid trip which was three hits of acid and 2 pretty good ecstasy pills. I was a bold kid in those days. The movie was super intense and then I remember laying in the corner of the room time warping with all the characters from Alice In Wonderland.

Half Baked - on a few grams of mush+ syrian rue extract.
Not the most thought provoking trippy movie, but i was so floored that even tho i had seen it a million times, it was like it was an entirely differant movie, and the charachters were projected 3d into my living room, and played out the script acording to my emotions
Finding Nemo- 1 hit mild acid Fun, great visuals
Waking Life- 1 hit kicked my ass acid AMAZING
Invader Zim- same kick ass acid night The humor clicked perfectly with acid
alice in wonderland-candyflip only watched some, but it did the trick
I plan to re watch waking life on a higher dose, and the planet earth series for the first time

probably more but thats all I can think of right now. I don't care much for watching movies while I'm tripping. Just when I'm night tripping and its too cold to go outside, and then its usually on the comedown.

The matrix was great on 2 hits of acid.
Waking life was amazing on LSA back before I had done other psych's.
Pulp fiction was just kind of distracting on shrooms so it was just turned off.
Across the Universe in theater on 3 of LSD was very enjoyable.
Charlie and the Chocolate factory in the theater on shrooms was great, very intense.

The only movie I've ever watched while tripping was "Alice in Wonderland" it was so fucking hilarious. It was back when I was 17, me and 3 of my friends all ate an 1/8 and watched Alice in Wonderland. It was like 2 hours straight of side splitting laughter, we were all tripping balls.
Other than that I've never seen any movies tripping, I prefer to spend my trips out in nature.

American Beauty Matrix 2 Fear and Loathing Alice in Wonderland Season DVD of one of the early simpsons seasons Planet Earth episode.
I'd say American Beauty was the best. Just everything in that movie ties together for a good trip movie. Amazingly good lighting, great sharp colors.

The Prestige was very good indeed on 2C-I and weed. The 2C-x chemicals work better with movies/tv than acid or shrooms.

I keep seeing people mention The elegant universe. If you liked that you must watch Stephen Hawkings Universe....its great. Its long though 6hrs total, but its broken into 1hr sections with independent themes. It takes you deeper into the rabbit hole, not so much with the concepts, but the over all personal of the series/film.

Finding Nemo. AHHH BRUCE!!
(both of these movies were played on a projector)
I totaly agree, i remember reading the book when i was 14 (now 24) and it was the most amazing yet bizarre story ever. I have never seen the film but i really want to and watching it triping hard sounds like heaven.
The last film i watched tripping was the producers, it was great the musical dances seemed to intensivy the trip and visuals too!! intime with the music
There's a part, very early on in the film, where the sun comes over the horizon of a desert. I felt all my energy become that sun, feeling a million pulses of sun rays.
It was, in fact, heaven.

The Yellow Submarine and Fantasia are both feel good tripping movies that can really set a mood or save a trip. Enough can't be said for them, they just really are that good.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is fantastic while tripping, but only if you've seen it before. Otherwise (in the opinion of the few I've talked to) the movie is uncomfortable jibberish that makes no sense.
Also, because of its art style, A Scanner Darkly gets a vote from me too. The constant shifting really plays on the eyes of the tripper . But I'd only recommend this movie if the person or group is already in an upbeat/safe mood, because the undertones of what's going on is a bit dark.

what is the elegant universe?? i loved the planet earth series and love that show on the history channel called the universe or w/e.

I tend to not be able to grasp much of the movies as far as plots go; just the visual part makes it interesting. The exception being fight club, blew my mind (sober too) but it was after a peak.

Good choices are Baraka and Yellow Submarine though you might fall in the trap of believing that you found the answers to the mystery of life. But they are pretty damn good choices and especially in cinemas.

I usually only watch movies on the come up. I've watched lots of random stuff, but here are some of the ones I remember:
Princess Mononoke (Amazing) Howl's Moving Castle (Amazing) Spirited Away (Awesome) A Scanner Darkly (Good, but weird while tripping) Logan's Run (Awesome in a fun/funny way)
One of the worst experiences was watching the Season 2 finale of Weeds. It wasn't bad at first, but towards the end of the night, lots of nasty thought loops about it. Which sucks because it was sort of out of character for the show up to that point, took us by surprise.

I watched The Fountain on a tiny tiny dose of mushrooms soaked in lemon juice...I swear, the entire trip was just a blip on the radar, it lasted only about as long as The Fountain, it was beautiful.

It refers to the size of the pill. Usually, you will see doubles and tripples. I've heard of larger ones, probably created for the maker, but i haven't seen any.
For example, if a penny was the size of a single stack, you would put two togather to form a double, three for a tripple, you get the idea.

Planet Earth is sick if you're into that kind of thing. Also, I have a whole series of Discovery Channel dvd's and since Im not really scared of insects, tripping and watching an Ant movie where you get super close-ups of anthills and things like that is really trippy.

I was thinking Planet Earth would be cool. They had it half-off at Borders, but it's still $40 or so.. kinda pricey. It does look pretty rad though.

The idea of a doublestack having twice as much MDMA as a singlestack may be bullshit, but there is no denying the fact that doublestack pills are indeed twice as large.

American Beauty (best movie I've seen while tripping) Matrix Reloaded Fear and Loathing (Scared the fuck out of me when I was tripping) Alice in Wonderland (cartoon version, too complicated to pay attention) Akira Kurosawa's Dreams (Awesome tripping movie) Planet Earth Series HD (Possibly the best thing to watch while tripping.) Also watched one of the earlier The Simpson's seasons and that was very interesting on shrooms.

I watched "The Dark Crystal" on my first ever trip. At the time I thought it was the best movie ever to exist.
A few trips later I saw H.G.Wells "Things to Come". I almost cried several times during that black and white scifi classic.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet- Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971). Contains loads ands loads of subliminal messages and the "Pure Imagination" song that eventually leads into the boat ride has pretty much changed my life. Although that might be because it was on my first LSD trip.
Edit: Nvm, someone mentioned it a few posts above
