is this a healthy diet?

im trying to lose some weight and was wondering if this was a healthy diet that would help me loose weight

breakfast:
2 hard boiled eggs
2 slices whole wheat bread
3/4 cup oatmeal with cinnamon and brown sugar
1 apple

snack: pear

lunch:
tuna sandwich with celery, green onion, relish, and light mayo
mixed vegetables

dinner:
2 bananas
peanut butter and jelly sandwhich



any thing i should change? any suggestions would be helpful thank you

It's okay, but not that great. Read up on dieting and figure things out better. There's a lot to learn that I really can't sum up here.

the forums on bodybuilding.com have a lot of info. You just need to dig.

The book Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes is a must. READ IT!!

I'd imagine you'd probably want to throw in some vitamin pills just to be safe. Although I don't know.. that's just a guess.

I've always been trying to gain weight all my life. I finally got up to about 170 and I'm trying to keep it right there which hasn't been too hard. Even when I was sucking down protein shakes and stuff... my #1 concern was looking at the labels on EVERYTHING that went into my body.

Just make sure you look to see you're getting a descent amount of protein and vitamins and everything else your body needs.
