BRF Cakes make bob dole angry grrr

ok, so after thrwoing out about 20 lbs of hpoo monotubs on my back porch in hopes that the neighborhood birds will distrubte the spores and thus beautify the neighborhood, I found sucess in my 6th tub. Everything's going pretty good, I'm frustrated that I can get the second flush to be more than the first, in other words cover more area. Enough hippy bullshit, here's my problem:

I made a lot of BRF cakes, almost all of which has failed. I get these teeny tiny nubbins on top, but nothing else, except for one cake. I put it into a glass ashtray with water on the bottom and it did produce some decent and delicious shrooms. My fruiting chamber is kept at 78 degrees farenheit and %95 humidity (the upper limit of my chinese slave labor wallmart instrument.) The cakes were dunked prior to fruiting, so I don't understand. I can't roll them in verm because the verm comes off, and it seems as thought the verm on the top is impenetrable to my flourescent light located about 9-10 inches from the chamber. What gives? How do I get more of these yummy morels? Bob Dole is counting on your help, a reply to this post is a reply to america and her peoples.

well I adapted a small doubletub, so there's a fan from mycosupply(?) that I cut a whole in about 4 inches in diameter and it cycles on and off about 2 times/hr. I also have a tropicaire humidifier with about 15 gpm flow total (two pumps in parallel), 6 polyfill holes, plus I open the lid and fan it often (The lids are sealed with a silicone strip I got from the auto department of wallys world. I do also have a large heatbomb of 75 watts power and of a volume of maybe 2 liters, it was housed in a mix drink bottle. Another problem I have is my caps are developing holes in the top of them, and then the stipes split and they keel over and die. Sucks.

I think you're over-complicating things. A simple terrarium with perlite and hand fanning would probably work much better than that newfangled setup you have there.

This was my very first setup:

Not pretty, but it did the trick.
