Heating Humid Air

for the cold winter weather i have added a small fan heater in my growroom, but the ambient humidity dropped from 45 to 25%, and im noticing more moisture loss as a result. i have a wick style humidifier that has the capacity to bring the ambient air humidity to around 60-70% but im not too sure if i should have that high of humidity in my grow room with a heater running every so often (45 sec. on low for every 4 minutes off) and a few lights (flour.) that run 12/12. Am I risking a short or even a fire hazard? The grow space is about the size of a closet, and it houses a single terrarium in a bin that needs a higher ambient humidity to hold its steady 90%. Has anyone used a heater before in high humid. conditions? If so, should I be worried at all?

Relative Humidity is relative to the air temperature. As warmer air can hold a higher max amount of water, when you heat the air the amount of water in that air stays the same, but it's percentage relative to the total amount of water that that amount of air can hold decreases (your RH decreases)

Yup haha
But I have the same question, I just got a Holmes Heater Fan, and I'm wondering whether it's safe to put it in my GH with 90% humidity or outside, pointed in or something...
BWT my temp is 63 degrees right now
tips?

I haven't a clue of electronics so I can't know if how much humidity one of those thinks can take but I can make you aware of the fact that for every degree you increase your temps you are going to have more and more problems keeping the humidity up.
Also, why don't you heat the room the martha is in, instead of heating just the martha? that way you avoid condensation (which lowers humidity drastically) and you will stop having an issue with the heater being in a high humidity environment.

Well water + electricity = Hazard ..Id say the worst thing that could happen is you would blow your breaker/fuse... I would keep a very close eye on it. Also maybe I'm not reading it correctly but your using an open bin and making the entire grow room more humid ? B/c a rubbermaid container cost all of about 8 dollars at the dollar store, walmart, hardware store..
