i saw it too man, but it left me thinking more i guess.. will smith fights the darkness because he believes in the light, the "monsters" fight smith because he believes in the light, but they actually arent really monsters, they only are to the opposite, the light just like, smith is a monster to them because he believes in the light and wants to destroy them...but actually the "monsters" arent all inhuman, they protect eachother..wow, maybe darkness isnt as evil as we make it.. maybe darkness thinks were just as evil.

I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. And I wasn't alone. I heard many people groan, "was that it?"
It really feels like two different movies pasted together. And I read it had a budget of $150million plus. You'd think with that kind of money they could of painted up some humans to look like the zombie characters.

but ok summarized i thought about the theme of light vs dark, how they both have similiar values like how the zombies gets pissed when smith takes his wife and tries to avenge her and the same goes for smith when he tries to avenge his dog.. this movies about racism, colour vs colour.. one vs the other and the other vs one, we fear the dark because it is unkown similiarly the dark fears the light kinda.. and bob marley was in that movie! And he represents oneness.. but its kinda biased because they put marley on the side of light and he doesnt take sides......"One love... One heart... lets, get, together and feeeel alright" haha thats what i thought about

The book is one of the all-time classic in the horror genre, so it's going to be very hard for the movie to live up to. I'm going to see it tonight, but I'm a bit worried that I'm going to be pissed.

I fucking love Robert Matheson. One of my all time favourite writers, and I Am Legend is a classic. Such a great story. I don't really want to see the movie because I'm sure they will butcher it. Will Smith as Robert Neville?! Who made that decision? Anyway, typically, no great classic is safe from the ravages of hollywood. This is just another story that they will ruin. It depresses me really, one day I am sure, every story I have ever enjoyed will be massacred for the big screen. I shouldn't complain, it is the way of the world. Same as when great songs get put into commercials. Sigh.

The zombies had kind of a cartoonie look like in I-Robot, but overall it was a cool movie. I could appreciate the detail they put into this virtual NYC wasteland, like all the posters and billboards that were put up at the time of evacuation. Like the superman and batman movie billboard... Foreshadow? A lot of attention of detail was put into it, I'm in the city a lot and could recognize where he was and it was pretty accurate.

I do like Will Smith generally, but if you read the book Robert Neville does not smack of Will Smith. I haven't seen the movie so maybe I'm just being bitter.

I saw it yesterday, I'm not gonna give anything away. I'm just gonna say its probably not what you think at all. Its a great movie, go check it out!
And yea Will Smith did an amazing job, he gets the whole mentality of loneliness extremely well. This is what did it for me honestly, the feeling of utter loneliness his character exudes really sells the movie for me anyway.
