Picking first flush

I have just picked my first flush ever on my cakes. I am just worried because on some of the caps were black on them. They were the most matured mushrooms and I am just wondering if this is rotting or a serious problem? The tops of them had like a black ash looking thing covering the caps. Also, where the mushrooms were growing out of the cakes were fuzzy. Is this something bad? It seemed like the fuzz that was on my cakes from high humidity.

you're probably ok. The "black ash" may be spores, if you let them fully mature. It may have fell on some of the shrooms from the ones above it or it could have been blown around by a humidifier. Pics would be more helpful on the fuzz though.

yeah I am almost 99.99% sure that they are just spores that dropped on your mushrooms from other mushrooms.
