Am I safe to trip again after having a bad one?

I recently had my first bad trip on Psilocybin mushrooms. It was also my first time using them. I've used LSD before and didn't experience the tiniest bit of fear, and it was alot more intense as far as visuals, sounds, etc. go. However, numerous people told me that these were "the best shrooms they'd ever had in their life," and I smoked some pot with them while I was tripping, which never seemed to affect me while I was tripping on LSD but I thought it might've been a ten-fold panic attack from the marijuana mixing with the shrooms.
I've smoked pot numerous times afterwards, and every time I go into a full shroom trip. I think this has been helping me, since that feeling of fear has returned several times and I have learned to face it. However, I have not used a real psychedelic since the shroom trip.
Overall, my shroom trip was enjoyable. I heard that making sure you keep your blood sugar up is detrimental, and I had read previously that if at any time your thought process begins to spiral down, ask for a change in music. That was the first thing I did, but I was very calm at first. I only started panicking when at first I was ignored, then, upon a second ask, I was pretty much told "fuck you."
The girl driving the car and playing the music wasn't shrooming, and maybe she didn't know what was happening when I asked her to do that, but I certainly wouldn't have any qualms changing the music in my car for some kids in a delicate state of mind in my car. When the song began to laugh at me, I started flailing and screaming and trying to break out of the moving vehicle. Sure, it was dumb, but death would've really been relief at that point. Even after this, she still didn't change the music. The song eventually left and I remained calm on the outside but had a two hour war with my thoughts. I haven't really spoken to her since.
Anyways, I feel completely fine after that night. I've had one nightmare where it happened, but it's been about a month and the flashbacks have all been induced by pot and once during my art class (not nearly as intense though). I don't see things, but that feeling of fear returns and usually just as strong on pot.
I don't want to deepen it on shrooms or LSD, but I figure that especially on these forums, numerous people have tripped after having a really deep bad one. Are there ways to prevent that thought pattern from happening again, or things I can do while tripping in case I feel it coming on again? Also, should I wait longer to trip again? It's been about a month, and having just turned 18, I feel like I have alot more years of experiencing psychedelics ahead of me that I don't want to lose.

go with the flow. dont fight it. dont expect anything. just accept what it has to show you. never be scared. just tell yourself, its just a drug, itll be over soon. i had a bad acid trip once. then a friend made me realize i shouldnt be scared. if you fall off the horse, just get back on it. youll eventually get it. just remember to breath, concentrate on your breathing and calm yourself down if you start freaking out. meditate. think happy and calm thoughts. and yea, music plays a HUGE part in it. so choose wisely.

Set and setting...
Anyway, the answer to your question is yes, but not necessarily.
Most people who have tripped a lot have had at least one bad trip and tripped since then without difficulty. I've also seen people have a bad trip, try to totally ignore it, and just continue for things to get worse the next time.
Basically, according to your story I'd say you'd be fine if you stay away from that girl while tripping.

With psychedelics, the occasional bad trip is par for the course. It happens.

its not the drug that gives a bad experience, its the mindset. There is no such thing as a certain strain of shroom or type of LSD that will give you a bad trip... mentally you need to prepare, one thing to do is analyze your recent bad trip and get to the root of why it happened. that alone will help you get ready... People don't have bad trips for no reason(99 percent of the time) its because they mentally were not ready... its usually caused by repressed feelings deep in the psyche. Trip again when you feel you are ready. Trip when you feel you could handle another negative experience if it ever came your way again.
My view of a bad trip is... Its not the negative emotions you are feeling and seeing that's the bad trip... its how you react to them.If you react positively to a bad trip, it is no longer bad. a lot of what I learned from tripping came from the negative experiences. I learned a lot about myself when I went through hell. I am no longer afraid of a bad trip, its because I am prepared for it... 99.9% of the trip is absolutely positive now. preparation is key

Good advice here. Also some poeple just dont like to listen to music at all when they are tripping, especially shrooms its nice to have quiet.

That girl sounds like a bitch.
Besides, no wonder you had a bad trip. Shrooming in a car with some bitch driving = not fun.

Yeah, I certainly don't mind quiet, and I really have no qualms with accommodating other people. Numerous times I've been uncomfortable doing what other people want, so I just go to a different room and do my own thing.

try to stay calm and remember to breathe, try to feel relaxed with each deep breathe, clear your mind.
