It starts 12 midnight tonight, for the 16th, Sunday Tea Party.
www.ronpaul2008.com
Go there to donate and or watch the widget rise LIVE starting at 12:00PM. Last time, we were averaging $5,900. a minute. Wonder what this one will be like.
I am donating, not sure how much yet.
If you order something from the store there, RP shirts, bumper stickers, lawn signs etc, the purchase is applied towards the days fund raising totals. You might as well get some campaign gear, as the whole of your order total, counts as a donation anyway. Get something for it.
http://www.ronpaul2008store.com/servlet/StoreFront
Even $5 donations add up and show more individual donars to the RP campaign. No amount is to small.
4 more hours.........get your credit cards ready

There was a lot. It feels like less way less probably because this one was 6 weeks in the making and the other was only two weeks in the making, giving it a more intense/short build up.
Here is a link to the forum where the idea was concieved of. Tons of posts going on about it there. It's all Ron Paul people there.

This is incredible. $261,356. in the first 30 minutes, and the day hasn't started yet, as most people are asleep and will be donating through the day tomorrow. Look at the gragh for how the last one on the 5th went.
For anyone keeping their own tally, the official start number was $11,552,561.57, as of Midnight.
He'll blow past the 12 million goal for the quarter in the first hour of this.
BTW, the graph site seems to be loading slower then the widget at Pauls site www.ronpaul2008.com or the one on the home page of www.ronpaulforums.com ( the discussion on it is in the Grassroots Central forum there.)
BTW, Paul will be on CBS Nightly news tomorrow night.

My prediction has been 7.4million for quite a while. The last minute "surge" in signups shifted my numbers to 7.5million, but I will stick with my original and see how it goes.

My guess was $12 million last night. I'm beginning to wonder if it won't be double that.
People on the West Coast are starting to wake up, and people on the East Coast are just getting back from church. People are starting to spread word throughout the social networks. The present amount of money per minute, the last I knew to be $6,000 a minute, now I'm hearing $9,000 a minute, if it were to remain constant (not accounting for an increase in that rate), that would set us at $8 million. Of course, the similarities between today and the 5th clearly set it that this amount per minute will not decrease, and will only steepen.
The real question I'm asking now is how much did the amount per minute on the 5th increase in the remaining time, and let's apply that to the current amount per minute. That would give us a pretty reasonable, average expectation of what the Tea Party's outcome will be.
Of course, I'm expecting the amount per minute today to increase much more than it did on the 5th. That line right now is turning upwards much more steeply than it did on the 5th. I'm wondering how many tens of millions Ron Paul will take in today, and how much priceless publicity he will take in. His schedule is already being filled with an hour on the Glenn Beck show, Tim Russert on Meet the Press, etc. etc. etc. The nation-wide, prime-time television advertising should begin soon. Perhaps he will announce his VP.

I eagerly await what all the Paulians will say the day after the Iowa caucus.
I'm sure it will then be a Big Gov't/MSM/Bush plot to rig the caucus.

Ron Paul is likely to place in the top three/four in Iowa. There has been a lot of ground work in Iowa that just won't register in the polls, and I'm hoping it is substansial enough to show some results.
Regardless, Ron Paul has a solid standing right now, and even if he didn't have a strong showing in the first primary states, he'll still keep running. The prospects for New Hampshire look a lot better than Iowa, and if he took first or second in New Hampshire, and second to fourth in Iowa, he'll be developing some great momentum, and the media would have to consider him a viable candidate. A lot of media already does.
Perhaps some supporters get into conspiracy theory right now, and considering which special interests Ron Paul would cripple by becoming a formidable force for President, or even winning, at least they are basing it upon something. I don't think as much is true; I think the MSM isn't necessarily slanted agansit Ron Paul, but that, for them, it comes down to poll numbers.
I honestly think the poll numbers are slanted agansit Ron Paul's supporters the most, and it isn't intention, but simply the nature of the way in which these polls are taken. No conspiracy theory.

The word "conspiracy" is a bit strong for what is going on, but there is certainly an effort to minimize Paul in the media. Paul breaks a one day fundraising record for the second time in the same quarter and the big news of the day is that Hillary Clinton broke a nail and some dinky newspaper in the middle of nowhere endorsed John McCain. Polls tend to be a metric of name recognition with previous voters in the party. The polls measure who the media is pushing, and the media cover only the candidates at the top of the polls.
> I eagerly await what all the Paulians will say the day after the Iowa caucus.
Unless something changes in the next few weeks, I honestly believe he will do much better than the establishment expects. Of course, I could be very wrong. Time will tell...
