Essentia bottle water: used for verm/BRF mix.

Since I had some "shake" in the verm. bag I used a sieve to get rid of the dust from the verm. Do other people do this?
Also, I used Essentia water with a pH of 9 I believe to mix, has anyone used this water before, the higher pH a good idea, more infomation regarding the water in the link below.
http://www.essentiawater.com/info.html
I think I'll start a log soon and get some decent pictures, but I thought I would ask what water types people prefer.

9 is slightly alkoline, myc can tolerate it, contams dont like it so much, contams prefer more acidic enviroment.

Tap water is fine for pf cakes. If you're going to do anything to help them along, you'd want to give an acidic environment, rather than a high pH. Mushroom mycelium as well as molds prefer a low pH. PF cakes are sterile and kept sterile during colonization, so there is no reason to use anything to raise the pH for mold control. If you were not sterile, the cake will contaminate regardless of pH.
Don't confuse the methods we apply to casing layers with those used for spawn, which must be generated under sterile conditions. RR

After I posted it and left work I realized 'civ' is the band not the kitchen utensil.
Thanks for the info guys.
