impatient or bored?

i need something to occupy my time with while my 'rooms are growin. i have plenty of video games, movies, and weed, but i still cant keep my mind off those little boomers. i guess im just anxious, but who wouldnt be? i'd give it another 2-3 weeks before the mazatepec's are done. im still waiting on my Z spores to come, but all the jars for them are sterilized and ready(as of last night--6 hours of working on them. and doing/selling stuff). hopefully first flush wil be harvested mid-jan. im planning on starting a different strain at the end of dec, same amount though--24 jars. My plan is to start a new strain ever 2 weeks so i will hopefully have more 'rooms than i know what to do with. Any suggesstions on which strain to go with next? Whats most potent/fastest growing/best yielding? Im still using the PF tek method until i have a few successful crops, then thinking about going to bulk substrate. I still have studying to do on growing bulk tho. Any suggested reading?

here's my advice. Skip the PF tek, its crap and you have more room to fuck up in that tek then with any grain tek out there. As far as strains, put all the strain names you think are pretty into a hat, close your eyes, and pick one. Then you'll have the fastest, most potent, biggest yielder out there.
strain names mean dick.
Again, skip pf tek, buy some qt jars, a PC, some bulk substrate, and then never look back. What would you rather do, work your ass off for maybe 4-5 gms per cake, or put in a little effort and get a qp in one go?

Thanks for the tip, i wanted to start basic and build on that. I had heard that PF was relatively hard to fuck up and worked pretty well. I have the PC, i will look into bulk substrate-as of now i dont know jack shit about bulk. I do have one question tho: if i did get 2 quarts of sterilized subtrate, about how long will it take for the jars to colonize? Ive heard something about shaking to mix it up and speed the process, but as i said before idk shit about growin bulk.

2 quarts of bulk substrate is a weenie amount. At minimum i would suggest working with 5 lbs of bulk substrate to 2-3 qts of spawn.
Grain jars take around 2 weeks to finish, a shake at 30-40% colonization will help spread the myc around to uncolonized parts and speed up the process just a tad.

Awesome! I thought bigger jars would take 4x as long. Again, i really appreciate the info. It sounds like quart jars are the way to go for me.

Keep in mind that is with grains, if you try to do a quart jar using the pf method you'll most likely fail.
