i just bought a $80 delay timer online then stumbled upon this, ive never seen anyone talk about these but makes sense for a martha with a fan and ultrasonic or rigging it to a coolmist? anyone have experience with these?
I dont plan on getting this, and am not trying to plug his auction in anyway. http://cgi.ebay.com/DIGITAL-HUMITY-METER-CONTROLLER-HYDROPONICS-HYDRO-FAN_W0QQitemZ230201146597QQihZ013QQcategoryZ105805QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That is just the sensor ripped out (or the component on it's own) of a hygrostat. They aren't generally very accurate in our range of humidities.

Why poo-poo on this guy's innovative idea? I say go for it, what if the community seriously benifits from this discovery?

The reason it has been poo pooed on is that it will not work well in the 90% area well most of them see that as a red area and will try to keep it lower like 30% to 70s well for plants but not that good when we want 85 threw 95% watched and controlled

Here's a post from last year the search engine turned up: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5977937#Post5977937
I ran a lot of humidistats in all price ranges before giving up on them and going back to cycle timers. RR
