The irony in faith

Maybe this will turn into a debate, maybe it will not. But, I felt like it was worth posting.
My pops left to get something and I hadn't returned in an untold amount of time, he hadn't called or nothing either. Normally he doesn't ever go out this late either.
I call, no answer.
I think for a second, then decide to brush it off.
Starts bothering me.
I decide to say a simple prayer asking to send him protection and safety.
Not one second after i say "amen".. phone rings.
Coincidence the aetheists will say.. God's work the believers will say..

Yeah, coincedence. I'm agnostic. You we're worried. He might have known you would be worried so he wanted to call to assure you. Maybe he called because he saw you had called him. Not that any of this really matters. Religion in my opinion only turns people against each other over beliefs and not concrete things. Fighting over beliefs wastes time and energy that can be used instead to further mankind. I can't knock anyone for being religious, as long as they don't push it on people and can respect other people's beliefs even if they are different.

your confusing my belief in a god or other power with religion.
One does not need to pay 10% to seek nor find godlihood.

I have not the knowledge to "know" that is one or the other. However, given the timing of it, I would dare say it seemed supernatural.

if something happened, in this case, your father physically picking up/dialing and calling you--then you pick up, how is that supernatural? why would the timing of an event make something above natural when i'm pretty sure people picking up the phone to call/receive a call at any second of any day is natural

One doesn't need to pay 10% to be a religious bigot either. But I'm not attacking you and I know not all religious people are bigots either. Just saying.

if the tao were mycelium, then events like the one you described would the the mushroom (fruit).
