Strain question...

Suppose i grow some shrooms from spores. And from these shrooms i get spores again... so i grow some more shrooms (hehe)... but now i have three questions:
1) will the strain become weaker and weaker?
2) is it possible that foreign toxins (like from molds or bacteria) get into the DNA (or such thing) of my strain so that i end up with a dangerous situation?
3) if i transferred mycelium from agar to agar would it be possible to produce a better strain each time(taking the ryzomorphic stuff)?
Thanks for your insights...

first of all you should take the print from the best preforming fruit, then you should do as you please with that spore print and so on. No you will not have weaker fruits if you get a print from your best preforming fruit......
feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken anybody.

each multispore inoculation has a million or more different genetic combinations. there's nothing to worry about

If you are growing from only one syringe and then going from there you will be making a ?sub strain? sorry I'm not that good on the terms but after f5 5 generation you should start to see that all the shrooms are starting to come out the same. If you use the larger shroom's spores the whole time they should start to grow larger and if you choose a fast one it should be the same. The only differences you should notice in your shrooms after a while tho is mutations and maybe like 1 in 100 shrooms looking different after f5. sorry I'm not that advanced yet but take this over to the advanced myco thread they will have lots of info for ya. They have a thread kinda explaining about this with a guy trying to make his shrooms seem more yellow.
-------------------- Dont know what the fuck I just said? READ THIS http://www.shroomery.org/5122/The-Shroomery-Mushroom-Glossary I ain't a hippy but I'm covered in dirt Sippin lots of mushroom tea in a tye-dye shirt Chasin' the Grateful Dead, no shoes on my feet Beggin' in the parking lot for something to eat, DO NOT USE FIRE IN YOUR GLOVE BOX!!!!!!!
